Bush: Blackberry Lokhtey forms a powerful thornless bush with upright light brown shoots that can grow up to 3 meters per season. An adult plant reaches a height of 4.5 m. The leaves are dark green, consisting of 3–7 toothed leaflets. The main advantage of the variety is a developed root system, which ensures rapid adaptation, good growth and high yield.
Fruits: Berries are large, weighing up to 12 g, elongated in shape, rich black in color with a glossy sheen. They are dense, juicy, with a delicate aroma. Due to their elastic structure, they are well stored and transported.
Ripening period: Blackberry Lokhtey ripens early - approximately in mid-July. Fruiting is stretched for a month, which ensures gradual harvesting.
Yield: About 12 kg of berries can be collected from one bush per season.
Growing conditions: For good growth, the blackberry Lohtey needs a well-lit area with fertile, drained soil. It adapts well to different climatic conditions, but is sensitive to drought, so it is important to provide watering during the hot period.
Care: Blackberries require regular pruning to form a bush and increase yield. In autumn or spring, old, fruit-bearing shoots are removed. To obtain a high-quality harvest, it is important to tie the branches to a trellis and apply fertilizers twice a year.
