Poplars are trees that not only attract with their beauty, but also have great potential in many areas. They help preserve natural resources, improve air and soil quality, and are also important in industry and medicine.
Poplar is the only tree that continuously saturates the atmosphere with oxygen. Other trees are able to produce oxygen only during daylight hours. One of the most important positive qualities of poplars is the ability to withstand the polluted air of a large metropolis, especially near urban areas with industrial enterprises.
In order for the tree to take root, it is necessary to follow certain rules and recommendations.
It is best to plant in autumn or spring - it is at this time that trees take root better.
It is necessary to plant cuttings, on which there must be several live buds. It is necessary to dig a hole 1 meter deep. Provide the seedlings with good drainage. At the same time, the root collar should not be deeper than 2 cm. Sprinkle the seedling with earth. For greater stability, tie the young tree to a support until it is strong. When creating a row of pyramidal poplars, the trees should be planted at a distance of 1.5x3 meters or 2.4x4 meters.
As a rule, full maturity, the ability to bear fruit and, accordingly, regular flowering, appears in poplars in a period of up to 12 years.
