Panicle hydrangea Silver Dollar forms a strong, well-balanced shrub with upright, sturdy shoots. A mature plant reaches 1.5–2 m in height and 1.2–1.5 m in width, with an even, compact crown that does not fall apart with age. The shoots mature well, easily support the weight of the inflorescences, and do not require staking, which simplifies maintenance and makes the variety suitable for both private gardens and commercial cultivation.
The inflorescences are large, dense, and broadly conical, averaging 25–30 cm in length. At the beginning of flowering, they are light green, quickly turning pure white, and by autumn may develop a soft creamy-pink hue. The flowers are tightly packed, giving the panicles a full, uniform appearance. Even during rainy periods, the inflorescences remain firm on the shoots and retain their decorative quality.
Flowering lasts from July to September and is consistent year after year. The variety responds well to spring pruning, producing a large number of flowering shoots. Silver Dollar is undemanding in cultivation: it grows well in sunny locations and light partial shade, on fertile, moderately moist, well-drained soils. Frost resistance down to –30 °C allows it to be grown without winter protection.
