Bush: 'Northland' is a low-growing, but powerful and sprawling bush 1.0-1.2 m high. It forms a dense crown with many light green shoots and a developed root system. During the flowering period, it is covered with small pitcher-shaped flowers of creamy white color, which makes it also decorative.

Berries: Medium-sized fruits, spherical, blue with a light waxy coating. They are collected in small, sparse clusters, which makes them easier to collect. The pulp is greenish, juicy, with a sweet-wine taste. Due to the high content of natural sugars and a pleasant aroma, the variety is excellent for fresh consumption, making jams, baking and freezing. The yield is stable - 4.5-8 kg from an adult bush.

Ripening and storage period: Blueberries 'Northland' ripen in mid-July. The berries are well stored after harvest, do not crack and are easily separated from the stalk.

Soil and growing conditions: Blueberries grow best on light, well-drained soils with an acidity of pH 4.0-5.0. The plant does not tolerate waterlogging, so it is recommended to plant it on raised beds. The variety adapts well to the Ukrainian climate, but does not tolerate drought well, so it requires regular watering.

Pruning: This variety requires intensive pruning after several years of fruiting. Pruning is carried out in the spring (March-April), before bud break. Old, weak and thickening shoots are removed to stimulate the growth of new productive branches.
